These terms cover extensiontracker.com and the data it publishes. “We” means Extension Tracker and the people who run it. By using the site or its data, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
What the site is
Extension Tracker is an independent record of public Chrome Web Store listings, collected automatically. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google. Chrome is a trademark of Google LLC. Extension names and other marks belong to their owners and appear here only to identify the extensions.
Accuracy
We try hard to keep the data correct, but it can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Listings change between checks, a page can be misread, and figures such as user counts are the store's own, as the listing shows them. We don't guarantee that anything on the site is accurate, complete or current. Before relying on a fact, check it against the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
No advice
The site reports facts, not verdicts. Nothing on it is security, legal, financial or other professional advice, or a recommendation to install, use or avoid an extension. A permission shows what an extension can ask for, not what it does with it. “Removed” means an extension disappeared from the store; it doesn't say whether Google or its developer took it down, or why.
No warranty
The site and the data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The site may be unavailable, change, or stop at any time, without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using or relying on the site or its data, or from being unable to use them. This covers direct, indirect, incidental, special and consequential loss, including lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, even if we were told such loss was possible. Where the law doesn't allow some of these limits, they apply as far as it does.
Reusing the data
The data is free to reuse under CC BY 4.0, including commercially, as long as you credit Extension Tracker. The license covers the site's own data, such as histories, change logs and removal dates. It grants no rights in what belongs to others, such as extension names and trademarks.
Using the site fairly
- Don't send so many requests that the site slows down for others. For bulk data, use the downloads on the data page once they're published, rather than crawling the pages.
- Automated clients must obey the site's robots.txt.
- Don't try to get around the site's security or its limits on requests.
Traffic that harms the site may be slowed down or blocked.
Other sites
Links to the Chrome Web Store and other sites lead to services we don't control. The “Download the CRX” links fetch an extension's package from Google's servers. Installing or opening a package is at your own risk.

To report a wrong fact, or to ask for an extension's page to be withdrawn, see the contact page. The privacy page says what the site records about visitors.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The date at the top shows when they last did. Using the site after a change means accepting the new terms.
